The 2017 Satsang Prasar & Management Conference for UK and Europe volunteers was held over the weekend of 21 and 22 January at the BAPS Swaminarayan mandirs in Leicester and London. This year’s event marked the meeting’s tenth anniversary and welcomed more than 1,000 delegates.
The morning session began with video presentations capturing fond memories of the past decade and reminded the attendees of the key spiritual principles of seva that have been reinforced during this time.
Swamis elaborated on the progress of Satsang activities in the UK and Europe since 2007. Satyavrat Swami continued this journey by outlining some forthcoming initiatives.
Yogvivek Swami delivered the keynote address to the gathering thereafter, providing encouragement and guidance for all the volunteers to serve together to continue the legacy of Pramukh Swami Maharaj and earn the blessings of Mahant Swami Maharaj. He especially highlighted the values of bhakti, humility, unity and spiritual integrity.
The morning session concluded with a touching video presentation thanking Pramukh Swami Maharaj for his tireless commitment and personal care.
After lunch, delegates broke off into separate groups to gain more specific information and guidance on how to serve better in their respective seva areas.
