Due to the recent heavy rains, many villages in the Banaskatha region of Gujarat have become flooded.
So far, a total of 66,000 food packets (10,000 prepared at the BAPS Mandir in Deesa, 10,000 at the BAPS Mandir in Atladra, 5,000 prepared at the BAPS Mandir in Gandhinagar, 5,000 prepared at the BAPS Mandir in Ahmedabad, 30,000 prepared at the BAPS Mandir in Gondal and 6,000 at the BAPS Mandir in Anand) were distributed in the affected villages under the guidance and support of the collector, mamlatdar and other officials.
Villages reached include (25 July 2017) Kansari, Jerda, Pancharva, Kochasana, Tetoda, Rakhpura; (26 & 27 July 2017) Dhanera, Sherpura, Zenal, Varan, Lakshamipura, Varnoda, Vadaval, Devpura, Vashepura, Rampura, Naani, Godha, Saral, Vid, Un, Nanapura, Mankuva, Garamvel, Karaghdi, Dhara.
The BAPS flood relief work will continue until the rains subside.
