Various heads of different religions, statesmen, bureaucrats and other leading dignitaries attended the special memorial assembly to offer tributes to HH Pramukh Swami Maharaj.
Shri Rajkumar Dhoot, industrialist and MP, shared his memories about Pramukh Swami Maharaj, “Wherever Pramukh Swami Maharaj went, India or abroad, he inspired moral and spiritual values into individuals and society.”
Shri Krishna Prasad Dhakal, Nepal’s Ambassador to India, expressed, “Pramukh Swami Maharaj and his work has always been and will always remain an inspiration for me.”
Shri Jathedar Rashpal Singh, President of the Shiromani Akali Dal (Master Tata Singh) of Shri Amritsar, stated, “Pramukh Swami Maharaj kept Narayan in his heart and served society. Such a Mahapurush is unique and rare in society.”
Shri Amar Singh, Indian politician, conveyed, “Pramukh Swami Maharaj was a sant and will always remain a sant. But to me, he was more; he was like the head of my family.”
Shri Vijay Kapoor, Former Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, shared his memories, “I found that Pramukh Swami Maharaj had an absolute clear vision of what he wanted to do and his contribution to society was unique. He formed a new role for sadhus in society; he inspired interactive communities and moreover, he established inspiring moral centres for children and youth.”
Shri Lal Krishna Advani, Former Deputy Prime Minister of India, expressed, “I am forever grateful to Swamiji for establishing the Akshardham Mandirs in Gandhinagar and Delhi which serve and continue to serve society.”
Swami Harinarayananandji Maharaj, Founder & General Secretary of the Bharat Sadhu Samaj, commented, “I have not seen any Mahapurush like Pramukh Swami Maharaj in the last five hundred years who has inspired a thousand educated youth to renounce the world and become sadhus.”
Swami Satyamitranand Giriji Maharaj, Former Jagatguru Sankaracharya of Jyotirmath and Founder of Bharat Mata Mandir, Haridwar, said, “After Shri Gautam Buddha, Shri Mahavir Swami and Shri Adi Shankaracharya, if there is any Mahapurush worthy of universal admiration, it is Pramukh Swami Maharaj.”
Finally, HH Mahant Swami blessed the function, “Pramukh Swami Maharaj was such a pious person that anyone who came in his presence instantly experienced peace. This was unique.”
In conclusion, a mantra pushpanjali ritual to pay respects to Pramukh Swami Maharaj was offered by heads of all sects, selected dignitaries and political leaders.
