Around 650 guests and devotees were present to celebrate ‘Transcendence’, the last book written by Dr APJ Abdul Kalam.
The highlight of the program was a rousing speech by Brahmavihari Swami titled ‘Inner Development’, based on the special friendship between Dr APJ Abdul Kalam and Pramukh Swami Maharaj. Among the guests was Hon. Kirunda Kivejinja, Deputy Prime Minister of Uganda, representatives of local Christian, Hindu, Muslim and Sikh communities and others.
Deputy Prime Minister Kivejinja also addressed the gathering.
A video of the life and works of Dr Kalam and Pramukh Swami Maharaj and how their friendship developed was also shown.
