BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, Sydney, Australia held its first patotsav celebrations on 1 February 2015.
Sadhus from India and devotees from Sydney and various other BAPS centers in Australia were present on the joyous occasion. The celebrations began with a Vedic mahapuja, after which Paramchintan Swami addressed the assembly highlighting the significance, importance and value of mandirs and the aspect of Param Pujya Pramukh Swami Maharaj as its inspirer.
State MP for Parramatta Dr. Geoff Lee and State MP for Granville Tony Issa graced the occasion with their presence. They both heartily congratulated and praised the mandir and its activities.
Devotees performed abhishek of Shri Harikrishna Maharaj, after which an annakut (ceremonial offering of food) of sweet and savory dishes was offered to the murtis. The patotsav sabha concluded with arti and mahaprasad for all present.
