Chaitra Sud Navmi is a very auspicious day in the Hindu calendar. This was the day one which some 233 years ago Bhagwan Swaminarayan incarnated on Earth, in northern India. This was also the day on which Bhagwan Ram was born.
Bhagwan Swaminarayan incarnated on earth with certain aims. Bhagwan Swaminarayan established ekantik dharma through His discourses, by building Temples and by initiating great learned sadhus. He strengthened Hindu Sanatan Dharma, transforming the lives of millions of individuals.
To celebrate the birth anniversary of Bhagwan Swaminarayan and Bhagwan Ram, BAPS Swaminarayan Mandirs across Africa and the Middle East held a special Sabha on April 8, 2014. The day was marked with discourses on different virtues of Bhagwan Swaminarayan by sadhus and devotees, as well as special performances by children and youth in the form of kirtan bhakti & dramas.
