On the auspicious occasion of Rathyatra, BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, Dar-es-salaam organised a magnificent rathyatra Utsav.
The murtis of Maharaj, Swami and Pramukhswami Maharaj were placed on the decorated Rath.
The yatra began at 10.15am from the temple. The rath was accompanied by traditional dressed shishu, bal, kishores and yuvaks as well as vadil mandal followed by the mahila wing, carrying BAPS flags and banners. Youths performed cultural dance on the streets and enjoyed the event joyfully.
Hundred of devotees joined the yatra and pulled the Rath on its journey through Pramukh Swami Street, Mrima Street, Jamhuri Street, Zanaki Street and back to Mandir at 12.00 noon where maha arti was performed followed by mahaprasad.
