The Mahila wing of BAPS Australia’s Adelaide centre held its quarterly Women’s Day celebrations in May. This event saw celebrations around the theme “Shriji pragat che re sada satsang ma”.
The evening encompassed kirtan-bhakti and cultural dance with inspirational speeches featuring stories of ideal women devotees and leaders.
Delegates including Hon. Zoe Bettison MP, Minister for multicultural affairs and Minister for volunteers, Katrine Hildyard MP, were welcomed with vibrant and colourful dance performances, illustrating an array of artistic talent among the young women. Upcoming mandir construction designs were shared with invited guests through video presentations. Guests expressed their gratitude and pleasure towards HH Pramukh Swami Maharaj and the BAPS volunteer force to gift the city with the upcoming magnificent mandir and expressed their interest to be present during the inauguration of the mandir.
In sharing their perspective of the talks of the day, the younger members of the audience took note of their belief system and gained confidence in their ability to lead in their chosen pursuits. Others recognized their strengths, contributions, and recognized themselves as leaders.
