In 1998, Pramukh Swami Maharaj inaugurated a new mandir in Corpus Christi, TX for the devotees living in South Texas. Since then, satsang has seen a steady rate of growth every year.
In order to accommodate future growth of satsang, a new mandir has been consecrated for the devotees of South Texas. The auspicious occasion of Murti Pratishtha was marked on Saturday October 11, 2014 in the presence of Sadguru Pujya Tyagvallabh Swami, visiting Swamis from India, and Swamis from North America. The new mandir in Corpus Christi is central to Rockport, Aransas Pass, Padre Island and the Valley region of South Texas.
Through the blessings of His Holiness Pramukh Swami Maharaj, the mandir has been graced with the murtis of Bhagwan Swaminarayan and Gunatitanand Swami, Shri Radha-Krishna, Shri Sita-Ram, Shri Shiv-Parvati, Shri Hanumanji, and Shri Ganeshji. Devotees and well-wishers from all over attended this joyous occasion.
On the evening of the Murti-Pratishtha a special satsang sabha was held to appreciate the devotees who had dedicated their time and effort in getting the new mandir ready for this joyous occasion. In this sabha, Pujya Tyagvallabh Swami spoke on the importance of samp, seva and mahima.
In addition to spiritual activities, BAPS Corpus Christi continues to offer its spiritual and community services to its surrounding neighbors.
