A mandir is one of the three pillars of Bhagwan Swaminarayan's legacy. His Holiness Pramukh Swami Maharaj has gifted devotees across India and abroad with many mandirs.
BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, Nairobi, was built in 1999. Since the last 15 years, it has been serving society and the fellowship in many ways. On 10th August 2014, the mandir completed 15 years and celebrated it’s 15th patotsav. The atmosphere at the mandir was filled with devotion from the early morning, beginning with arti and mahapuja. A grand Annakut of 1515 items was offered to Bhagwan Swaminarayan, Guru Parampara, Shri Lakshmi-Narayan Dev, Shri Radha-Krishna Dev and Shri Nilkanth Varni. More than a thousand devotees gathered for this celebration. At the time of departing, devotees were full of gratitude towards His Holiness Pramukh Swami Maharaj for gifting devotees across Kenya and Africa with such a beautiful mandir.
