Hundreds of devotees of BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir, Nairobi, enthusiastically participated in the Annual Sports Day held at the 'Spinner and Spinners' grounds on the morning of 27th July, 2014.
After a traditional deep pragatya by sadhus, devotees took part in various competitions.
The men and boys participated in games such as football, cricket, volleyball, tug of war and kabaddi, while the women and girls played volleyball, tug-of-war, and competed in skipping races, bursting balloons and other sports. The sports events concluded at noon after many enjoyable hours.
The event echoed Swamishri's view that a family that prays together, eats together and plays together, stays together.
