Based on a specially collated booklet, ‘Satsang Jnanamrut’, BAPS volunteers who help in the running of the weekly satsang assemblies participated in the ‘Satsang Jnan Spardha’ – Satsang Knowledge Competition. The competition was held in two stages: regional on 8 September and inter-regional on 22 September. The regional competitions comprised of 100 multiple choice and objective-type questions based on the booklet. In the regional phase, around 9,550 men volunteers participated at 222 venues and 9,411 women volunteers participated at 221 venues. Top performers from each venue earned the right to participate in the inter-regional competition.
The inter-regional competitions were comprised of three sections: a 100 objective-type questions test, group discussion assessment and an oral test.
A total of 2,100 male volunteers competed at 36 venues and 2,226 female volunteers competed at 37 venues in the inter-regional phase. The volunteers with the best combined scores from the three sections were awarded prizes.
