On the momentous occasion of Padra Mandir's 10th anniversary, Punah Pratistha celebrations took place over two days, on 29th and 30th January 2012, in the presence of Pujya Doctor Swami.
The festivities began on 29th January with a Vishwashanti Yagna in which over five hundred yajmaans took part. Thereafter, the Murtis to be installed in the Mandir were taken around the city in a magnificent Nagar Yatra. In the evening a drama based on incidents from Param Pujya Swamishri's life was presented by Adas mandal.
The Murtis to be consecrated in this Mandir had earlier been sanctified by Param Pujya Swamishri on 15th April 2011 in Sarangpur, in Gujarat. These Murtis were consecrated in Padra Mandir with Vedic Rites on 30th January 2012, by Pujya Doctor Swami.
Padra holds a special place in the hearts of devotees because this is the place where Param Pujya Pramukh Swami Maharaj attended school, before he took initiation as a Sadhu. Therefore, on this occasion, marble footprints of Bhagwan Swaminarayan were installed near Param Pujya Swamishri's old school.
