In 1991, Param Pujya Pramukh Swami Maharaj consecrated patt murtis of Akshar Purushottam Maharaj and Guru parampara in the first Hari Mandir in Mumbai, in Borivali. Twenty-one years later, the new mandir’s murti pratistha mahotsav was celebrated with great festivities on the 28th and 29th of April 2012.
On 13th April, 2012, Param Pujya Swamishri sanctified the Murtis in Sarangpur, Gujarat. These murtis were then consecrated in the mandir at Borivali by Pujya Bhaktipriya Swami (Pujya Kothari Swami) on 29th April, 2012.
The two day mahotsav commenced on the 28th of April with a Vishwashanti yagna in which over a thousand yajmaans participated.The murtis to be consecrated in the mandir were taken around the Borivali area in a grand Nagar Yatra that evening.
On the 29th of April, amid vedic mantra chanting and rites, the Murtis were installed in a beautifully adorned throne. This joyous occasion became even more memorable with a Suvarna Tula of the chal-murti of Shri Harikrishna Maharaj. Children, youth and elder satsangis served wholeheartedly to make these celebrations a success.
