Dar-es-Salaam women's wing held a special cultural celebration on 15th July, 2012.
The event included dances by Shishu, Balika and Yuvati Mandals, and a dance drama on Indian values performed by the Kishori Mandal. The performances gave messages on the importance of Mandirs, Scriptures and Guru. The programme ended with singing of the Indian song "Vande Mataram". More than 600 women and girls attended the event.
Towards the end of the programme, the Chairwoman of the General Hindu Women's Community, praised BAPS and especially its Women's wing, for their continued efforts in organizing such activities to sustain Indian culture and values in the 21st Century.
