BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, Atlanta was glowing in blue on November 14, 2012 to join millions of supporters across the world in observing the World Diabetes Day. The World Diabetes Day campaign is led by the International Diabetes Federation and its member associations. It engages millions of people worldwide in diabetes advocacy and awareness. In support of this effort, hundreds of visitors proudly wore blue and encouraged the recognition of this day.
“We have been hosting a number of medical initiatives year round. Participating in World Diabetes Day marks our commitment to combat the diabetes epidemic,” said BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, Atlanta volunteer Dr. Jigar Patel.
The World Diabetes Day was also observed at Swaminarayan Akshardham in New Delhi and BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, London.
