With the exam season approaching, on Sunday 7 February 2010, over 1590 BAPS kishores and kishoris participated in the grand mahapuja ceremony held at the BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir in Ahmedabad to pray for success in their exams.
The main rituals were performed by Yagnapriya Swami, while the youths, all students studying various courses from standard 9 to university level, also performed the rituals. This special prayer assembly has been held every year since 2001 and provides the students with great peace of mind and confidence at a time when tensions can run high.
After the auspicious ceremony, Yagnapriya Swami guided the students on how to progress in life through a good education. Then Vivekpriya Swami spoke on the inspiring examples of great achievers. At the end of the assembly, Pujya Ishwarcharan Swami explained the importance of faith in God and prayer to help one achieve one’s goals in life.
Finally, all the students offered abhishek and prayers to the murti of Bhagwan Swaminarayan in the Abhishek Mandap.
