Bal-Balika and Kishore-Kishori Shibirs were held at BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Sydney on Friday 16 July and Saturday 17 July 2010 respectively. A total of 150 bal-balikas and 65 kishore-kishoris attended the shibirs.
The attendees learnt about some of the fundamental aspects of Hinduism – Guru-Shishya Relationship, Dharma, Karma, Punarjanma, and Rites and Rituals in the presence of Jnanpurush Swami and Adarshmuni Swami. There were also breakout sessions and group activities that taught these basic principles of Hinduism in an interactive way.
The various presentations and inspiring videos empowered the youngsters with the knowledge and the confidence to live as ideal Hindus and to explain their beliefs and values to their friends.
