By the divine grace and inspiration of Pramukh Swami Maharaj, during the summer of 2009, six regions across North America held a total of 22 two-day shibirs, themed “Hinduism: Discover and Live.”
Over the course of two days, the attendees through various discourses, videos, and informational evening programs learned about Hindu history, traditions, values, culture and philosophical principals. Through question-answer sessions, the participants clarified their misperceptions regarding Hinduism as well as got understanding of various Hindu traditions.
The event familiarized the participants with their Hindu roots and inspired them to assume a more active and inquisitive role in their Hindu lifestyle and faith.
