Hundreds of Yuvaks and Yuvatis gathered throughout North America at Yuvak-Yuvati Shibirs to gain a deeper understanding of Satsang. The shibir organized in Dallas, Houston, Toronto, Catskills, NY, Chicago, Atlanta, San Jose and Los Angeles had the theme "Samjan - At home, at work, in Satsang."

The shibir has interesting discourses on how Samjan (Understanding) is required in all three areas of our lives at home, at work and in Satsang. P. Acharya Swami, P. Dharmaraj Swami along with sadhus from North America presented various topics on Samjan like understanding our upasana, understanding our guru and understanding each other. These topics explained the importance of having the right understanding for our spiritual progress.

Specific activities ranged from a Gharsabha panel which stressed why it is important for Yuvaks and Yuvatis to incorporate Gharsabha in their lifestyles to increase unity within the family, communication between each other, and progress in satsang as a family. The team building session consisted of two activities: trying to find an equal balance between home, work, and satsang; and 'Lost at Sea' an exercise in which the participants had to rank 15 times they consider most valuable if lost at sea.

The attendees felt that by taking part in the shibir their knowledge of satsang principles had deepened and their faith in God had been consolidated.
