The devotees of Perth celebrated Diwali and the Hindu New Year at the BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir. Chopada Pujan, in which business and personal accounts books were sanctified, was performed on Saturday 25 October.
On 26 October, the Hindu New Year's Day, as annakut of over 200 vegetarian delicacies was offered to Bhagwan Swaminarayan and other deities.
Then, on 9 November, Dev Diwali-which marks the completion of chaturmas - was celebrated by offering on annakut of over 50 fresh vegetables and fruits to the deities.
