At the Swaminarayan Mandir in Auckland, inaugurated by Pramukh Swami Maharaj in February 2002, the Diwali and Annakut festivals were celebrated in traditional fashion. A delightful rangoli depicting an Amrut Kalash was artistically drawn in the main foyer.
The women devotees worked hard for the previous month planning and preparing for the Annakut in which over 800 vegetarian delicacies were offered to the deities. Every hour arti was performed till 8.00 p.m.
Throughout the day, over 1200 people visited the mandir for darshan.
