The Diwali and Annakut festivals were celebrated with great devotion. On Tuesday 5 November 2002, the first day of the new year, many devotees had darshan of the annakut offered to the deities. This day also marked the second patotsav of the Haveli.
Then, on Saturday 9 November Labh Pancham, a giant annakut was offered. Spanning over 160 feet in length and eight steps high, 2504 varieties of food were placed in a highly impressive and decorative annakut display. Hourly artis being performed upto 9.00 p.m.
Also, on this day, the first stone of the sanctum sanctorum of the new shikharbaddh Mandir, previously sanctified by Pramukh Swami Maharaj in Gondal, was layed into position with full Vedic rites by the resident sadhus of Chicago Mandir.
Throughout the week-long festivities, there were nightly discourses on the Bhagwad Gita.
