On 23 June 1999, Royal Navy Admiral John Chadwick, Commodore Munns and their colleagues visited Shri Swaminarayan Mandir London. They were all very impressed by the glorious architecture of the Mandir, and the peace that pervades the whole Mandir. Admiral Chadwick stated, "I am speechless. I felt peace of mind here, and I am very impressed by the discipline of your volunteers. Looking at the discipline and dedication of the volunteers here, we feel we should have them in our Navy." Commodore Munns stated that it was a most informative and inspirational visit, and a clear message of what dedication and community spirit can achieve. The Navy Chaplain was touched and said, "It has truly been a great spiritually elevating experience. The tranquillity and inner calm you get here is unique. I feel spiritually inspired."
