During Swamishri's puja, an initiation ceremony of nine youths into the parshad-fold took place. After completing his puja, Swamishri personally initiated and gave the Guru-mantra to each of the youths.
In his blessings, Swamishri praised and commended the parents who had dedicated their sons on this noble path of spiritual elevation and service to society. Swamishri revealed, "Guru Purnima is a holy day. Lord Swaminarayan had visited the residence of Kashidas Mota, here in Bochasan, thirty-two times. Today, these youths have taken diksha, by the wish of Yogiji Maharaj, not to attain any mundane benefits but to redeem society, to please God and to elevate their souls.
"We congratulate the parents, who have raised and educated their children, given up their aspirations and ambitions for them, and dedicated them on this path of renunciation. May they all develop more faith and devotion in Lord Swaminarayan and become happier in life.
"Ultimately, we have to give up everything one day, but by giving up in the service of God, we will attain happiness. Vidurji offered spinach, Draupadi tore a piece of her finest sari, Dada Khachar offered his house in the service of God and they were blessed with eternal happiness..."
