પ્રેરણા પરિમલ
યોગીચરિતમ્ - ૧૨૮

સવારના કથા-પ્રસંગમાં વચનામૃત વરતાલ બારમું વંચાતું હતું. એમાં કહ્યું છે, 'જેને પરિપૂર્ણ નિશ્ચય હોય તે તો એમ સમજે જે મને તો ભગવાન મળ્યા, તે દિવસથી જ મારું કલ્યાણ થઈ ચૂક્યું છે અને જે મારું દર્શન કરશે કે મારી વાર્તા સાંભળશે તે જીવ પણ સર્વ પાપ થકી મુકાઈને પરમ પદને પામશે.'
એ સંદર્ભમાં યોગીજી મહારાજ કહેવા લાગ્યા કે 'કેશવચંદ્ર અમીન કલકત્તા ગયા તો ત્યાં જેને એમનો સંબંધ થયો તે સર્વનું કલ્યાણ થઈ ગયું...'
એ સાંભળી ઈશ્વરભાઈ કહે, 'આપ પવઈમાં ઝાડ નીચે બેઠા હતા તે ઝાડનું પણ કલ્યાણ થઈ ગયું ને...'
'કોણ ના પાડે છે...' એમ ખૂબ સહજતાથી છતાં પડકારીને સ્વામીશ્રી બોલી ઊઠ્યા.

Even if I were a thousand miles away...
“If a person firmly observes the vow of non-lust, then he is never far from God – whether he is in this realm or beyond. Moreover, My affection for such a person never diminishes. In fact, the very reason that I have stayed here is because of these devotees’ firm resolve to observe the vow of non-lust. If a person strictly observes that vow, then even if I were a thousand miles away from him, I would still be close to him. Conversely, if a person is slack in his observance of the vow of non-lust, then even if he is beside Me, he is as good as a hundred thousand miles away. In fact, I do not like to be served by such a person…”
