લંડન જવાનો કાર્યક્રમ નક્કી થઈ ગયો હતો. બધા પ્રકારની અગવડ-સગવડની વાતચીત ખૂબ ચર્ચાઈ ગઈ હતી. પણ અહીં યોગીજી મહારાજે ફરી એ વાત કાઢી : 'પણ ૠતુ સારી ન હોય તો ?'
'બાપા, એ બધું તો આપના હાથમાં છે.'
આમ, સ્વામીશ્રી અવારનવાર આવો કાંઈક પ્રશ્ન છેડી, હા-ના કર્યા કરે, કાંઈક શંકા કર્યા કરે. અને કાર્યક્રમ નક્કી થઈ શકે નહિ. આજે પ્રમુખસ્વામીએ કહ્યું, 'મનમાં નક્કી કર્યું હોય તો જવું જ જોઈએ.'
'આપણું મન તો ફરતું રહે છે. અમન થવું જોઈએ,' સ્વામીશ્રી ધીરેથી-બીતાં બીતાં બોલ્યા.

The mind is like a child
“Moreover, the mind is like a child. If a child attempts to grasp a snake, or touch a flame or perhaps hold an unsheathed sword, it becomes upset when it is not allowed to do so; and even if it is allowed to do so, it will hurt itself. Similarly, if the mind is not allowed to indulge in the vishays, it becomes upset; and if it is allowed to indulge in them, it turns away from God, and thus becomes extremely miserable…”
