The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Hon. Dr. Terrance Drew, along with First Lady Diani Prince-Drew, Ambassador Dr. Neil Parsan, and Al Saoud Hassan Baksh, visited the BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi.
During their visit, they learnt about the life message of His Holiness Pramukh Swami Maharaj: "In the joy of others lies our own." This principle closely aligns with Prime Minister Drew's recent initiative to establish a faith-based ministry to promote religious tolerance and interfaith dialogue among citizens of all faiths in St Kitts and Nevis.
Inside the mandir, under the 'Dome of Peace', Swami Brahmaviharidas greeted the Prime Minister with traditional garlands and prayers for peace. The delegation had an in-depth tour of the mandir and appreciated the deep-rooted values and traditions of India and world civilizations.
As the visit concluded, Prime Minister Drew praised the leaders of the UAE, particularly His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler of Abu Dhabi, for their vision and support in fostering harmony and tolerance. He also highlighted Pramukh Swami Maharaj, saying, “I think that such spiritual leaders are those who we really need among us today; those are the ones who are truly inspired from the heart and through their faith they bring the best out of humanity. We need more spiritual leaders like His Holiness.”
He further remarked that the rulers of the UAE have set a commendable example for the world in creating an environment where various cultural and religious communities can coexist peacefully. Prime Minister Drew's visit not only highlighted the shared values between St Kitts and Nevis and the UAE, but also emphasized his global call to action for nations to emulate the message of harmony and tolerance that the BAPS Hindu Mandir, Abu Dhabi, ideally exemplifies.
