BAPS Shree Swaminarayan Mandir, Johannesburg, South Africa held day long celebrations on the occasion of the Mandir's first anniversary.
A group of 6 sadhus from BAPS Shree Swaminarayan Mandir, Nairobi, Kenya and over 500 devotees from Johannesburg and various other BAPS centres in South Africa, were present on the joyous occasion.
The celebrations began in the morning with sadhus performing abhishek of Mandir Murtis in the central shrine followed by samuhik mahapuja and a grand annakut consisting of 230 dishes being served to God.
In the afternoon, a satsang sabha was organised in which Sadhus gave enlightening discourses on the importance of Mandirs in society. The Consul General of India, Shri Nandan Singh Bhaisora, graced the occasion with his presence.
The evening assembly consisted of kirtans and discourses, followed by arti. The day long celebrations concluded with Mahaprasad for all present.
